Since switching boards here is so effortless, I tend to err on the side of caution on where to place posts. If I consider a particular post the equivalent of deliberately poking some members of this board with a long stick, I put it on Flame. The choice is arbitrary on my part, subject to whim, and probably inconsistent.

This is completely separate from personal insults. You might note I never (well, "hardly ever") use obscenity, or directly aimed personal remarks, although God knows I've bitten my tongue* bloody more than a few times.

I am particularly protective of the Community Board, which I consider to be where people go to raise a few when the whistle blows to end play, and off-limits to cheap shots or political slams. So this thread is here instead of there.

*Okay, I'm typing, not talking, but you get the point.
