I would agree that Steve did more to protect animals than some animal activists would say; and I thought he was very impressive and a nice bloke and I was shocked at his death. But as I already stated, I was not surprised.
He probably was too close to the stingray.
Always tempting fate, like he was some god.
And an earthly one....he was, to some extent.
