Equality
In the far future, if there is a whole planet of people with a certain trait that is slightly disadvantageous, will they be treated equally? What if there is a planet of aquatics, who are severely handicapped on land- would they be treated equally? If not, what would be the point? Is it ethical to experiment with such traits in humans when the outcome is unknown and equal rights and opportunities are not guaranteed? And we all know that business is not ethical, it's competitive.
