The problem I have with the idea there are corrosive chemicals in the air and all around is the Rovers seem fine with no signs of corrosion.

I have dipped aluminum (6061 6T) into corrosives like they're suggesting exist on Mars and the part looked heavily oxidized afterwards. The Rovers' aluminum parts (2024 6T?) seem completely unaffected.
