Thinking of what would have to happen.
Armitage earlier acknowledged talking very tough with the Paks on September 13,2001. Later denied saying the US would bomb them.
The Paks would have had to make up the story. There might be a reason for that, to cover their asses at home. On the other hand, would they have made up something like that.
It's within the realm of possibility. And, I beleive Armitage led them to believe the US would have taken violent actions against the Paks, who, after all, would have been "against us".
With all the innocent dead that implies.
