If you are Jerry Seinfeld and Dr. Whatley, DDS asks for a shtickle of silver amalgam. The objection was that Whatley had just converted to Judaism just for the jokes. Actually, there is no question here. Jews have survived because they are able to laugh at themselves and their place in the world. Jewish humor has been their greatest survival mechanism. It's a shame the rest of the world's Semetic people don't seem to have that ability.
