Saw the T-Birds back in 2004 at the Abbotsford Airshow. I felt a little uneasy with the level of bravado sustained by the announcer. After all, it was our military in a foreign country during an unpopular war. Can't remember what all he said, but I do remember having to wait 20 minutes while one lame Bird that couldn't get off the tarmac was replaced with an alternate who then had to catch up to the rest of the team circling overhead.
My vote for most "inspiring" would be the F-15's.
Nothing louder and more gut shaking… except for a Harrier.
