Very recently a cousin of mine was killed in Iraq. I wasn't close to him, many in my extended family were.
And, we are a family of liberal kids, but often conservative parents.
There is no way anyone in this family won't believe that kid wasn't sacrificed on the altar of Bush & Co.s egos.
We all know he died fighting for the Right of Halliburton to loot both the US and Iraq. And that while he volunteered to protect his country he was betrayed by those he trusted.
Their response is much the same as many Iraqis to needless slaughter.
The kid was dedicated to his peers and his unit. Completely dedicated. And didn't have a clue as to why the US was over there. Did at first, couldn't figure it out later.
Makes it a bit harder to respect those who support such a waste.
