PanStarrs Hijacking?

http://www.spacedaily.com/reports/Astronomers_Unite_To_Use_Hawaii_Telescope_999.html

Theoretically, the primary purpose of Pan Starrs is the detection of potential impactors, both asteroids and comets - that is the basis on which it was presented and funded -

Now the usual cosmologists have formed their own operating committee. No guess where that $10M operating money that they have ultimately comes from - and it doesn't particularly matter.

I don't mind sharing, but none of the cosmologists activities should be allowed to impair the impactor search in any manner.

When Griffin brings up PanStarrs in his NEO report next year, he should be ready to answer questions on PanStarrs operations as well.
