I assume it's something she wants to do, and isn't being pressured into it.
I could make a hellaciously long list of people who might not be a success in their field if their parents hadn't smoothed the way, including a lot of movie stars, business people, and politicians.
Yet, a lot of them have turned out to make their own marks in the field. Give the kid a chance.
