Fact is, not really considering prices
Wages on a household average have remained flat when compared with respect to inflation, healthcare and higher energy prices and relationship between disposable income and total income.
Real median disposable income of households declined slightly from 1999 to 2003 (in 2003 dollars). I don't have numbers past 2003 on this
Some data: Real median money income of households increased from $45,970 in 2003 to $46,326 in 2005(in 2005 dollars). If you think 500$ in 2 years is 'wages are up! we're doing great!' I have a war in Iraq to sell you on, buddy.
