To get the equivalent of your ABC/NBC example, I first searched the Vanderbilt Television News Archive, using as keywords the names of the two RNC staffers who were convicted, and also "new hampshire" and "election" and "convicted" or "indicted".
Zero stories at the time. A short mention in a recent (October 2006) NBC story on political dirty tricks.
I then searched the Washington Post via Lexis/Nexis.
About five articles total over two years, none on page 1 and none more than a few hundred words.
The case got a fair amount of attention on some blogs, notably Josh Marshall's TalkingPointsMemo. And of course coverage in the NH papers.
But the "liberal" mainstream media? Nary a peep.
Current Events » in reply to Test would be more valid if you'd asked the question a year ago.
OK, so I searched: No coverage
The whole thread (18 posts)
- This is a test of our mainstream media
- Never heard of them. (n/t)
- The answer sheet
- Why would it be anything but mostly local?
