I think you misunderstand
The American public is looking for a little payback for the debacle in Iraq and the devolution into corruption on the part of the GOP.
This election is all about restoring checks and balances to our system of government.
The reality is that most Americans sit in the middle strata of the political spectrum and the GOP had pandered too frequently to its radical right wing. Hopefully, the lesson will not be lost on Democrats.
