A super-massive black hole may have created a condition where mass and gravity suddenly ceased to exist, leaving, for lack of a better term, super-hot strings. Without the constraint of gravity that primal mass of "hot" strings blew through several phases, an initial inflation, and then a super-inflation. And then started to condense. With more inflation.
Gravity, in this scenario, wouldn't affect the pure energy of strings. As the primal energy of strings condensed, mass and familiar energy was created, and gravity re-appeared.
Superstring theories make sense to me to the extent that we need more forms of energy and more dimensions to explain our surroundings. It makes sense to me that at the level of our being, rather gross collections of molecules and compounds, there is much we cannot know.
A guess.
