Your claims of cowardice

"I have also posted the idea, which frankly fits the facts a lot better, that it's the Left that is paralyzed by fear of our enemies, and reacts in the only way it can, and the only way it ever has, by attacking safe targets inside our own country."

There's your quote pal and "paralyzed by fear" sounds pretty much the definition of cowardice. You've often used the term "cut and run" which signifies cowardice. It would seem to me that it was abundantly clear you intended first to label me as a "Leftie" and secondly to paint anyone in that group as cowardly in the face of our enemies.

You know as well as I do that I'm not disparaging the entire military. I made lifetime wonderful friends in that organization of quality people but here's the part you don't get. Even if I served among more elite members of the Navy aboard a nuclear sub, I got to see the big picture when going to enlisted clubs on bases, living in barracks, shopping in the PX's, hanging out with the imbeciles in the mess halls, and being exposed to the big picture in boot camp. I got to listen to the stories of long time veterans and the bozos they had to deal with over the years.

Even if our military has become more high-tech in the last decade, they're still primarily drawing from the same pool of people, some good but most marginal. My 17 year old son tells me the tales of the agressiveness of military recruiters that frequent his high school and the types they're targeting. The ones they're hooking aren't for the most part the brightest of the bunch. They're the ones barely squeaking by or troubled.

Oh, did I tell you that I spent 3 months of my Naval career on recruiting duty back in my hometown as a reward for my academic record? Don't even presume to tell me that anyone outside the system has any clue about how that whole gig works. You're hearing exactly what the military wants you to hear.
