Curious why you believe the Universe finite. That concept has always fascinated me and I've always attributed the belief to our own concept of reality. Everything we see, hear, feel has some beginning and end to it. I've always believed our own minds don't computer infinity well and that's what makes us want a boundary around us.
In many ways it's that tendency that makes me believe there is no end since to designate a demarcation merely stops the questioning. We make a value judgment that we don't need to know what extends beyond our boundary.
Now I may be presuming too much here and you may be talking about the Universe as simply an entity in an infinite space. If that's the case I can fully grasp that.
