The USA Lost it when Carter allowed Iran to devolve the Middle East into the Mess it has become.

It all started with somebody in the Carter administration saying: "well you know, they do have a point about the Shaw being a evil dictator..."

Idealism has been on parade ever since in US foreign policy. Look what she brought.
