Pricing AM2 CPUs....

et — 11/30/2006 9:30:58 PM (archived)

..it becomes apparent that it'd be silly to go with a single core with comparably priced dual cores.

Picture this:
AMD AM2 2 X 3800 ~$150
AM2 Motherboard ~$150
2 gigs of DDR2 memory (<800) ~$200max

Thats a good start. Key is to get a good motherboard, probably with an NVIDIA chipset.

Are you wanting to reuse parts of your current system, and what is it?
