Your hysterics are colorful, but completely avoid the issue of what it means if the Associated Press is printing fake news.
We were discussing how the media could alter the outcome of a war, weren't we? Do you remember the results around the world of the famous "flushed Koran?" The damage done in a situation where people were trying to reduce the influence of hostile Muslims?
Every time the press deliberately throws gasoline on an already-burning fire (if you'll pardon the metaphor in this case), it makes things worse. At least if the news is real, you have some justification. If it's just propaganda, then what?
As for any legal action that might result, Iraq is at WAR. Maybe you missed that. The U.S. sat a lot harder on our own press during WWII than Iraq has on its own media, and Saddam would just have killed or jailed the offenders without any legal action at all.
As for Orwell, I suggest reading this.
Nowadays, this is called "political correctness."
