...what happened to Monday's regularly-scheduled gun slaughter?

So much perverse irony. You might remember that Atilla the Republican, aka "Dad", lives in Vegas. We talk on the phone each Sunday morning, and this last Sunday's chosen rant was full-on gun fondling, hitting all the shrill high notes: guns don't kill, nightmares about brown people breaking down the door to rape your possessions, or whatever nightmare it is that most terrifies wingnuts, plus the usual anti-government paranoia. And of course Good Guys With Guns® and Guns Everywhere® as the only answer to gun violence.

Atilla being conservative, he'll never acknowledge the truth revealed by the fact that the one civilian killed an hour later at WalMart, was a gun fondling koolaid drinker who thought he'd be a hero by refusing to evacuate the store as ordered, pulling a gun on one rightwing terrorist...and getting shot in the back of the head by the other for his hubris.

And it's coming out that the Millers were indeed rightwing terrorists, right in the thick of it, second amendment zealots, getting interviewed on TV at Cliven Bundy's gun festival threatening to kill Federal officers, leaving a blazing trail of rightwing extremism across YouTube and a myriad militia and neo-Nazi Web forums.

For fuck's sake, they left a Gadsden flag on the body of one of the police officers they murdered. Does anybody need it spelled out for them?

But no, of course we can't even consider doing anything about it. That would be tyranny! Don't Tread On Me!
