The US started a war to "liberate" Iraqis from Saddam.
It now must stay, to avoid a "genocide" and a civil war, becoming an occupying force just like the old style empirial colonizers.
More americans died in Iraq than in 9/11 for what? An islamist republic?
I even wonder if the US is a democracy:
There was an UNelected president, Gerald Ford. Bush didn't get the popular vote in 2000.
Traditions should be dropped and that mandatory 4 year term is not a good example of democracy.
A mid term election won't prevent the president from sending troops even though the majority at the parliament is against it.
That kind of thing can't happen in another presidential republic: France.
If the parliament is not happy, it initiates a no confidence vote and the prime minister quits and new elections are planned. Meanwhile, the exiting government settles the current matters (this is what happens here; there is never a power vacancy).
Shame on the United States
