Down Under it's Australia Day today
"Throw another shrimp on the Barbie, Mate..."
A surprisingly large number of Australians enjoy boring commercial sausages and meat pies which are far removed from luxury food. There's been a move in recent years to eat more Lamb meat (to help our farmers dispose of surplus stock!).
Of course, you can get "good" sausagesand meat pies, but they're harder to find.
(After 10 years in Scotland, I quite like Haggis, but it's an acquired taste!)
