The downside to Sketchup being aquired by Google

It used to be that if you wanted to purchase more licenses of Sketchup, you got on the phone and called @last Software in colorado and purchased it. Since Google aquired it, old fashioned conveniences like picking up a telephone have been eliminated. In my particular situation, I need to talk to a real live salesman to get some questions answered before I can buy more licenses, but doing a google search for a phone number comes up empty. Instead I get a website submittal where I can request a salesperson to call me. I submitted the request this morning at 8:30 and have been sitting by my phone waiting for it to ring all day. I guess Google just can't bother to call. Now I'm going to have to wait till next week to try again, since I'm out of the office tomorrow.

Has Google forgotten what customer service is? At time like this I pine away for the little company @last Software used to be.

On the upside, anybody that owns Google Sketchup 5 Professional, can download a free upgrade to Google Sketchup 6 Professional for free till June. I got my 6 licenses up and running after Google sent me bad authorization numbers, than followed up with good ones after I struggled for a day trying to make the bad ones work. Luckily they did do the follow up on their own, so I wouldn't have to call. Well, actually I couldn't have called if I wanted to since they don't publish a phone number.
