re: To each his own

Lindy, I know you can come up with numerous documented cases where people have had what they believe to be encounters. My problem is that it just has never happened to the people that I've really hung with in my life. It's always some farmer in North Dakota or some swamp rat in Louisianna.

Also, I can't tell you how much of the world I've traveled in, how many nights I've spent gazing up at the stars out in the middle of nowhere, out trekking in remote places where it sounds like all this stuff happens. I've found I'm an extremely attentive person and a stickler for details, usually the one that spots stuff out of place or interesting. Yet, with all that time and opportunity, not a single event has ever occurred that I couldn't explain by my knowledge of how the world works.

I think it's marvelous you put so much faith in these events. I'm somewhat jealous actually. A great deal of the mystery and magic has gone out of my life as I've learned more and more about physics and the universe we live in. However, so much more has come to me in this burning desire to see what's around the next corner. It's almost an obsession. I can't get enough of the rover pictures or the latest discovery on Titan.

Anyway, I'm glad you share these things with us and you're doing it in the proper forum. Keep em coming. Just know that I'll always be straight with you in this topic and let you know how an open mind can see the same stuff you're seeing and come to completely different conclusions.
