A new race to the Moon
Interest from all over, except presently from Europe.
One has got to admire the Russians: with the reliable Soyuz spacecraft, they managed to survive the collapse of the Soviet Union, attract lots of foreign astronauts and even tourists, have the US participate in the Mir program, share the construction of the space station, enable that station to be permanently manned even while the Shuttle was grounded (with a NASA astronaut on board too), have rockets launched from Kourou, and now that the Russian economy is improving, Rovkosmos is getting more money and new projects are being planned.
