Create giant Algea blooms in the middle of the ocean. The algea sink to the bottom and form methane deposits that are sequestered for eons.
Also, do the same with trees. Grow them on land, then take them to the middle of the ocean and sink them. Their carbon will be trapped under the water for millions of years.
