re: Sir Richard, I can see where that solution didn't sound scientific enough...

Therefore I've given it some additional thought and before we sink the trees in the ocean, we should 1st convert them into charcoal so that ONLY the carbon is sequestered, and not the important "other elements" that make up the tree's structure.

Wait you say: It takes a lot of energy to convert a tree into "charcoal"? Its messy, and will create more pollution than it will remove...

WRONG!!!

Well there I have a great answer! We could build a solar furnace that would "cook" the trees into charcoal for free! All we need is a concaved mirror, that will heat a cyndrical oven through which will pass the tree trunks, and other wood materials, that will then be converted into pure Carbon...

You could even use recycled wood (old pallets, baseball bats, building materials, etc...) in creating the charcoal.

But wait, there is more!!!

The beauty of the charcoal solution is that the charcoal will actually filter the seawater as it decends to the depths, resulting in a cleaner ocean for all to enjoy!!!

Please make that check out to Scott Evil Solar Furnaces, LLP of Davenport, IA.
