No need to interview them in the Conservative, True Believing concept of human and civil rights. No sense in it.

It really should outrage everyone to see such an "investigation" carried out. Probably, though, the "investigator" couldn't speak Arabic, wouldn't have done much good to interview 'em.

Especially if they knew they would get the shit kicked out of them again the minute the investigator left. Not saying that was the case, but it seems a pretty good guess. There was a reason the alleged victims weren't interviewed, and that could well be it. Afraid of what they'd say, where the leads would go.
