re: One more sign that global warming may be a dogma...

Someone should figure out how much carbon is put in the air for each tax dollar spent. For example to pay a govt official salary of $100,000 per year how much CO2 is put in the air by the taxpayers in order to provide this revenue.
And also these companies who plant a tree or whatever- how much CO2 are they putting into the air to operate their business.

Roughly speaking, if for example a 1/3 of a year is spend paying taxes, and then the govt is solely responsible for 1/3 the Carbon emitted by the public- even 1/3 of CO2 used for vacation time- because of course this is a cost of production. And it doesn't matter much if you are taxing a smaller group of the wealthy who as a group emit less CO2 than a larger public because that larger public bears the cost thru increase prices.
And in addition you would need to count the CO2 that govt directly uses with the money given in taxes- such as maintaining government building, requiring employees to drive to those workplaces, and the total CO2 emitted by all it's employees- heating and lighting their individual homes, etc.
If this is all figured out then one could get the average carbon cost for every billion dollar spent by a govt and one could compare this with various other governments [each would have a different CO2 cost per billion spent]. One could also look at a particular govt program and compare it's cost and determine [at least] whether or not it was producing more CO2 than it was intending to conserve/sequester.
