Neither he nor I are saying that the frustration of not being selected for flights is an inevitable disaster or even an 'excuse' for criminal behaviour, but it DOES promote a nasty work environment particularly when the selestion process is so secretive and subjective. NASA does not NEED another 7 astronauts, all jokes aside. Less is better.
