Let's say you have a stop sign in your neighborhood. Someone runs it.

You follow him home, burn his house, kill a few of his relatives, and then shoot him.

He was violating the law. Does that make your shooting him legal? Of course not. You aren't empowered to enforce that one.

Now, you say that he was abusing his family, mean son-of-a-bitch.

And if you turn out to be abusing his family even for than he did, for the same reasons he did, doesn't that make it a moral imperative to resist your abuse?

Logically, the legal and moral aspects of the Bush invasion just doesn't work. It was illegal, and is immoral.
