Ever since he dismantled the Iraqi superstructure for ideological reasons, defeat has been inevitable. Actually before, but that was the stake through the heart of any chance the Iraqis had for a peaceful existence for the forseeable future.
He's had longer than WWII, remember. And the present situation was forecast by Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, et al.
It's pathetic to see the floundering around looking for blame. Accept responsibility, and move on.
