Your hypothetical is way too big & way too fast
Ort & KB objects will offer the least advanced notice and will be moving the fastest. For those unlike with 'normal' asteroids, thermonuclear bombs, lots of them one after another fragment after fragment are probably the best answer. Somehow it's not PC to advocate nukes even when they are useful.
