Ds - "The party has no frigging idea what to do about the war in Iraq." This is tiresome.

Bush took a relatively stable Middle East and an Iraq where there was one ruler with which to deal, and tore it apart. Bush created a civil war, a safe haven for al-Qaeda and other terrorists, and an anarchy which is being filled by religious militias hell-bent upon killing each other.

It's like killing the keeper of the dog pound and turning 1,000,000 pit bulls loose, and then expecting someone else to have a plan for controlling them. Once they're loose there's too many of them.

In the African plains, the most efficient hunters are wild dogs. They get their prey a higher percentage of the time than any other animal, because they keep coming at it. Constantly, and from different angles. Some of them die. The pack survives.

That's the situation Bush has created in Iraq. And in the meantime the Iraqis are suffering horribly compared to life under Saddam.

Saddam was brutal AND EFFECTIVE at suppressing dissent. Bush ain't that smart - he's just as brutal and still ineffective at suppressing dissent.

And for True Believers to expect others to put the spilt milk back in the glass is just as stupid as the initial invasion.

Adults will accept responsibility for their actions. I've never seen such children as Conservatives.
