March 25 1957 - 2007 the European Union at 50 !!
We started at 6 (a few weeks after my birth) and we're now 27 with many using a comon currency...The European Union turns 50.
The are crisis, sometimes it stalls but whenever a country blames Brussels or the Euro for this or that, it is always possible to show other countries within the EU, also with the Euro , where things are better, proving that their problems are related to their national policies rather than to the EU.
And over the years, I've been reading a lot of Eurobashing, especially at HZ, but in many ways, Europe is a much better place to live than the US.
