Not hostile, annoyed.

If the battle is indeed going to be fought in European classrooms, then so be it. There's nothing you can tell anyone here that's going to change their minds so that it can influence that struggle. Oh sure, one voice can make a difference, but if the battle is going to be in one of those quiet places, it will have to be a quiet voice. You have a lot of confidence that the voice can be yours, but you seem to have little confidence that others can speak for themselves too. You seem determined to shout at them whether they want to listen or not. And you don't seem to listen at all. If you really want to make things happen, you must go somewhere where you can have influence, effect, and it will take lots of work and taking risks. This is just a science board where people would be talking about other things if you were not here.

Did it ever occur to you why you have so much opposition on these boards? Do you really think we have all assembled here just to contradict and defeat you? We don't come here to settle the great issues of the day, and to be honest, how can we take seriously anyone who believes that is his mission in life? We come here to talk of many things, not the same thing over and over and over. The only thing you can accomplish is to enrage us with your impatience, and whatever there may be of value in your message is rejected because it is wrapped up in arrogance and anger. Your passion derives from the fact that things aren't working out the way you'd hoped. Well, rest assured, that's something we all have in common and we've all had to deal with.
