How do you know Iranians are any better than Iraqis?

Put up a blockade, economy crashes, for everyone except the religous bug-heads at the top. After ten years they're locking radar on passing coalition aircraft and ships, etc. etc. Take out the bug-heads, and regular Iranians start killing each other en-mass.

I know I'm using creative license heavily here. But... could happen.

Why not just blow things up?
