The fawning and servile tone of that sycophantic little message is embarassing. I mean it as no disrespect or criticism of Bush, but if someone spoke about me in that tone of voice I would either feel extremely awkward, or afraid it was some kind satire or parody.

Again, I want to make it clear I am not criticising Bush here, I'm sure he had nothing to do with this and I'm sure his gesture to Byrd was genuine, but this groveling little missive is embarassing.
