I just saw a NASA TV special on Shannon Lucid before seeing this post. Shannon was born in 1943 and still hold the most hours by an American woman in space (MIR). Amazing career. I hope Sunita Williams will get that next honor, but we'll see.
Yes, the young ones are coming up in the world. I noticed that when I worked at our community college and noticed the dates of their birth.
Let's hope they appreciate history. :)
