Hypocrisy actually is an issue for some people.
But the perception of hypocrisy requires a mind capable of integrating information and perceiving contradictions.
The lack of response out there in the leftist media and blogosphere to politicians advocating limits for the "little people," while at the same time consuming and polluting far more than the average, may have more to do with brain power than any philsophical positions.
I have also shown examples of the party that won the last election on "culture of corruption," wallowing in campaign contributions and lobbyist goodies. William Jefferson is still on his committee while two Republicans have resigned committee positions while investigations are under way. This is a policy of the Republican Party, but apparently not the Democrats. To put it more bluntly, the things Democrats advocated in order to win last fall have been quietly tossed out the window.
And when confronted with this--God knows most would never notice it on their own--liberals will tilt their heads in puzzlement and say, "So?"
