I have a colleague at work who is very much a typical right-winger, who seems to be determined to single-handedly point out every case of welfare fraud and cheating as proof that everyone without his politics is a sleaze and and a gangster, who was bragging about the new emergency home generator he purchased after Hurricane Wilma with government funds (about $800 dollars). Actually, he paid for it out of his own pocket and was later partially reimbursed with government funds, a procedure that ensures only those with plenty of money to spend up front will be entitled to game the system.
When challenged on this, (he never actually lost power during the storm), his response was "I'm paying for this racket with my tax dollars, I have a right to benefit from it." Now there's a mind capable of integrating information and exploiting contradictions that is impervious to the perception of hypocrisy.
What you have conveniently done is defined an entire set of crimes which are criminal and hypocritical only when committed by Democrats, but somehow virtuous and enterprising when committed by Republicans.
