Your analogy is slightly flawed. To be accurate, you would have to appreciate Mussolini's methods for achieving punctual trains. I can imagine what those were.
I was just pointing out that credibility of a source can be flexible.
I don't have a lot of objection to the type of interrogation methods described in the current protocols (which Tenet was referring to), of which the very worst was "waterboarding."
Not only Tenet, but other sources, have said these techniques have already saved lives.
