While I admit my eyes glaze over whenever I see the 'pipelauncher' topic, that's just my personal taste. I think such posts are appropriate on SPACE as long as the proponent does not spam us with myriad, long posts on the same topic within a short timeframe, which is not the case here. It's an interest, perhaps an obsession, but editorially its a space topic.
I also think it's also appropriate to post one's thoughts and calculations here as long as one does not go into flame mode when any inaccuracies are pointed out and then stubbornly insist on repeating the same numerically challenged assertions. I don't remember gbaikie doing this.
That being said, I think gb SHOULD get his own website or blog on this topic. :)
