"That being said, I think gb SHOULD get his own website or blog on this topic. :)"

Well I have had web space in which I did this- years ago.
Since the Iraq war, generally speaking, I have been distracted from my normal obsession with space related matters. But now I'm swinging back to less interest in GWOT- but I can't say I'm fully engaged in the space area.

I know I HAD a reason for being interested in space- I had a question about it. And that question boils down to why are we not already on the Moon and Mars- and beyond- when I was a kid I assumed by this point in time that would be our reality.
I have answered that question- more or less.
Now, I believe first came up with idea of a pipelauncher in late 1998. I have never made any claims that I know much about structural engineering. A large amount of my interest regarding a pipelauncher is could it work. Again, I believe I have reached the answer- yes it could. Getting it build it is a different matter. I believe a pipelauncher will be built at some time.
But in my longer journey of why aren't we there yet, one thing I know- it's not because of some technical hurdle we have to overcome. A pipelauncher wouldn't be necessary for this, just *perhaps* in some circumstances be useful.
Now my idea of "water in orbit"- would probably be far more useful in regards to general problem.

But anyhows as to our point. I started at My Space and all I've done so far is paste a previous post from here to a blog entry:

Maybe at some time I will put more time with that. I'm a bit disappointed with this web space- it's not very user friendly and/or I haven't got the hang of it, yet.
