I've long thought that the UN should be responsible for the construction and maintenance of all nuclear plants. The hosting nation wouldn't have to worry about acquiring, processing or transporting fuel or waste, the UN could take care of it all--logistics AND finance.
I would rather turn it over to the Barnum and Bailey clown show.
Like the universal intellectual brilliance of Democratic politicians, the competence and integrity of the United Nations seems to be a myth that is impossible to pry loose from many Americans.
Incidentally, as far as "finance" goes, the U.N. has no money. Look around. Who's got the wallet? In fact, who has had the wallet for the U.N. for decades?

Good God, no.
