Did you notice the fatal flaw in the letter?

The "if in doubt, sell 'em whatever they want" stance? The "let 'em shoot first, then ask" attitude? Almost, but the real flaw is this.

It's addressed to The "Honorable" Albert Gonzales and copies The "Honorable" Richard Cheney.

Gonzales' and Cheney's positions on incarceration of people without any representation for any length of time at Bush's whim, torturing them at Cheney's whim, using "confessions" extracted with torture in procedures where they do not have rights, making it a felony to even talk about some of those arrests, puts them among those who have forfeited any claim to humanity, let along "Honorable" humanity.

Imagine. Someone with as big an ego as George W. Bush able to throw anyone in jail he likes, for as long as he likes, without even his family knowing, and torturing "confessions out of them for the hell of it. Just 'cause he feels like it.

That some people who approve of that complain about Hugo Chavez is amusing.
