Dust storms, dusty roads, filthy living conditions, and the damned stuff appears to be really, really clean.

I don't understand that.

In rural Africa I saw a man, woman and two children walking down a dirt road, obviously a family. The man was in front by about 5 feet, wearing an immaculate Western-style white shirt and dark pants. The woman was wearing darker traditional garb, had a basket on her head, was carrying a baby and holding the hand of another child.

The guy's shirt was spotless. Had I been that woman, the shirt would have been covered with dirt and bloodstains. How did she, I'm sure he didn't do it, keep that shirt clean?
