That was one of my first impressions, but with this new data on the high silica content and the speculation his is a volcanic formation, I am not sure.
The outer layering does look like a plunging syncline, but I am not sure about the inner layering. Very hard to tell in this picture.
Wouldn’t you love to be there in a space suit with your rock hammer?
