Surely, some popular rocker, sportsman or other "cool" celebrity must be an amateur astronomer and could be dragooned into doing something like this as a "service to the community". Can you imagine a Clint Eastwood type aim his Dobsonian at the camera... "make my night, punk, turn off your outdoor lighting"?
