If I write enough exclamations points, does that make me the winner?

I am not talking about the tinker toys on our current spacecraft,
nor HAL 9000 - which was messed up due to the human need for
power and secrecy - I am talking about truly intelligent machines
combined with nanotech.

Humans are just the midwives for the real intelligence to come.
